Who in society lives in just one of these institutions and is not affected by the others? Everyone has a family, the first institution people are exposed to, but no functioning human only stays exposed to that alone. They move on to school (the educational institution), enter into group interaction (friends and acquaintences), and later into work. Even some the military or religion or politics.
The whole point is, of course, that no one in our society is exposed to only one facet of society. Since that is true, there is a multiplicity of factors that must be studied in order to discover the orgins of common social interaction and it's related problems.
Now that our society is on the cutting edge of a huge lobotomy it is extremely important to gain a focus these problems through a sharper eye. Maybe we can save those whose brains haven't yet been completely fried by the media. Maybe a few who try to be independent thinkers will learn something from the collectivity of mass culture. Really I'm rambling here.
Am I blaming people themselves? The media? What am I even talking about. I don't mean to blame the media, they are really doing the best job they can under the circumstances (I just wish they didn't sound like they love being idiotic so much). I guess we really have to develop an "Ideal" world in order to measure our's up to.
So what is the ideal world?
Oh, simply a happy go-lucky sweetie crap fart pluckin' dream land . . .It's never going to happen! Don't waste your time!!! At least that's what those without faith in humankind like to say.
Ah, but don't we like it that way . . . admit it. Isn't it easier to say that than to actually let go of the fear that keeps us bound up inside, that paralyzes us? If the world didn't suck, some argue, what would we have to do with our time? I could rap all day long. Maybe you could too! Maybe we'd all spend our time being cool and helping each other produce as a whole unit, not individually and competitively. Maybe one can learn self worth by helping others than by achieving individual gain, through others' losses.
We all share this world together, why don't we try and live together to?
Ever walk down the street and someone's coming towards you, then walks by as if you didn't exist! Like they didn't even see you! You see, that there is FEAR. 100% fear of interaction. I think of the most important quality the ideal world must contain is no fear.
Fear is the precurser to hate and violence. These qualities lead to death and pain, not joy. So we need to wake up, put our trust in others and let go of the fear. After that, we will notice that things start to get better. Really, it's never been tried before. It would be interesting to see whether or not I'm right.
